How to Install ipython.display?

Estimated read time 1 min read

The ipython.display module is a part of the IPython library and provides functions for displaying various types of output within the IPython environment, such as images, HTML, audio, videos, and more. It is typically already installed when you install IPython. However, if you don’t have it installed or want to ensure you have the latest version, you can install it using pip:

pip install ipython

The ipython package includes the ipython.display module along with the rest of IPython. Once you have IPython installed, you can import and use the ipython.display module in your Python code. For example:

from IPython.display import display, Image

# Display an image
image_path = 'path/to/image.jpg'
image = Image(filename=image_path)
display(image)

In the example above, we import the display and Image classes from ipython.display. We then create an Image object by specifying the path to an image file. Finally, we use the display() function to show the image within the IPython environment.

Note that the ipython.display module is specifically designed for use within the IPython environment and may not function as expected in other Python environments or IDEs.
