Estimated read time 1 min read

Python 3.11 has not been released yet (as of March 2022). However, once Python 3.11 is released, you can set it up in Visual Studio Code by following these steps:

  1. Install Python 3.11 on your system. You can download the latest version of Python from the official website: https://www.python.org/downloads/
  2. Open Visual Studio Code.
  3. Open the Command Palette by pressing Ctrl+Shift+P (Windows, Linux) or Cmd+Shift+P (Mac).
  4. Type “Python: Select Interpreter” into the Command Palette and select it.
  5. Select the Python 3.11 interpreter from the list of available interpreters. If the interpreter is not listed, select “Enter interpreter path” and enter the path to the Python 3.11 executable file.
  6. Once you’ve selected the Python 3.11 interpreter, you can create a new Python project in Visual Studio Code and start writing code using Python 3.11.

Note: Python 3.11 is not yet available as of March 2022. Once it is released, it may take some time for third-party libraries and tools to be updated to work with it. Be sure to check the compatibility of any libraries or tools you use with Python 3.11 before upgrading.
